Harrison County Parks and Recreation offers a variety of services throughout the year. We have many programs offered on a seasonal basis including special events, & summer programs.

Do you need a speaker for your groups meeting? The Harrison County Parks and Recreation Department would like to come and speak to your group about who we are, what we do and what programs we offer. For The National First Day Hike

Meeting Place: The Bill Foster Memorial Shelter
along the Harrison South Rail Trail.
First Day Hikes is a nationwide program by America's State Parks, open to all age groups. This family friendly activity celebrates New Year's Day by promoting outdoor activity to start the year right.
Key gear involves good shoes, a backpack, water, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and layers for warmth.
Leashed pets are welcomed.
